Welcome

With over 30 years of experience as a Clinical Psychologist and an expert in chronic pain management, I am pleased to expand my availability worldwide. As a pain coach, I am available to assist you in learning the techniques necessary to control your pain, rather than the pain controlling you! Together, we can reduce pain, flares and negative emotions resulting from the pain and losses. Pain Psychology is a unique subspecialty of psychology and can be difficult to locate or access. I am accessible to help support, instruct and guide individuals with chronic pain throughout the world through telecommunication.

About Me

I received my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1993, with specialization in health psychology. I completed my post-doctoral training in the interdisciplinary treatment of chronic pain. In addition to my longstanding private practice, I was the Director of Psychology at the former Pain Therapy Consultants in Connecticut, and served as a consultant to several pain management clinics throughout the United States. I am also an author and a founding partner of InterPersonalNet, an internet resource helping people to enhance their lives.

What is a Pain Coach?

A pain coach is a professional advisor who has an in-depth understanding of chronic pain and how pain affects the individual in all aspects of life. The goals of pain coaching are twofold: providing tools to help you better manage your pain and helping you to deal with the emotional consequences of pain. This includes depression, anxiety, anger, insomnia and grief. It is highly unusual for somebody to live with severe chronic pain without experiencing depression or anxiety at some point. While these feelings are very normal, there are ways to eliminate or reduce these feelings through positive thoughts and actions.
